Most meetings consist of a short introduction by our Chairman Mike Phillips followed by a society update by our Secretary Julian Leckie, Then the monthly sky notes kindly read by Geoffrey Johnstone along with a copy of the notes for everyone. Then a short break of about twenty minutes. After the break theres normaly a Guest speaker although we are going to encourage our members to perhaps have a go at speaking on their favourite aspect of Astronomy. We are also always looking for new ideas to make the meetings more interesting & enjoyable.
Our Main Aim !
The aims and objectives of the Society are to provide opportunities for people interested in astronomy to meet, exchange experiences and information and ideas for the general benefit of members and the public.
